It’s HERE!!
by Jeff on May.13, 2008, under Uncategorized
I can’t even tell you how happy I finally am. My laser… it has arrived. If any of you were in New York City last night and noticed a peculiar green beam of light striking the sides of many of the landmark buildings throughout the city, those lights were probably emanating from my new <125mw, handheld laser.
I’ve already popped a couple of balloons, and I’m looking for other fun tricks to do with my new toy. I took it to XES Lounge last night so I could show my friend, Jeremy. He told my I was crazy for having such a big laser. He’s probably right.
Watch for video!! It will be fun!
Laser Update
by Jeff on May.06, 2008, under Uncategorized
So, I’m still anxiously awaiting my laser. It still hasn’t arrived. To give you a quick update, the first laser was held up at customs when UPS tried to deliver it. Wicked Lasers shipped out a second laser last Wednesday. They shipped it using EMS instead of UPS.
When I plugged in the tracking number, there were numerous status messages, including one indicating that it had cleared customs. However, I think it only cleared customs in China. The last message indicated ‘delivery arranged.’ But again, it looked like it was delivery only from China to the US.
This laser saga is really starting to get to me! I hope it gets here soon.
NON-CUSTOMS GOVERNMENT AGENCY HOLD
by Jeff on Apr.25, 2008, under Uncategorized
I have no idea what that means, but that’s the status of my laser. When I called UPS, they informed me that it was a customs hold, and that they were going to send my laser back to China. They didn’t have any other information other than that. However, they informed me that if I were to call Wicked Lasers, Wicked may be able to get the issues resolved.
You know me… I immediately called Wicked and got them on it. I have received an e-mail from Wicked informing me that they will resolve the issue or resend the laser. Either way, it looks like I will eventually get my super duper handheld laser. After talking with Jeremy, I don’t know if that’s a good or a bad thing.
I thought Jeremy and Steven had a power of 150mW. Accordingly, I purchased a laser at 125mW because I thought that Jeremy and Steven’s lasers were too bright. Well, I’ve come to find out that their lasers are only 35mW. So of course, Jeremy and my other friend Michael have been teasing me about my handheld weapon and the fact that I can’t get it into the country.
I teased a bit and said maybe having the powerful laser would be good for me; I could brand all the hot guys with my mark or blind them before they get a chance to see what I really look like. We also joked that I might not entertain anybody, just burn them, or the building, down to the ground.
Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. It all depends if the damned thing ever gets here! I’m really disappointed that I won’t have it for this weekend’s activities.
