My Exercise In Futility

About Me and My Blog

video-call-snapshot-6Thanks for visiting my blog. I guess I should start by giving a little introduction. I’d like to consider myself a simple man, but I would be lying if I allowed myself to get away with that. There’s nothing wrong with me, that is if you can overlook my self-diagnosed A.D.D., my addiction to Starbucks, and my soft spot for romantic comedies. Otherwise, I would say I’m moderatly geeky, pretty intelligent, handsome gay boy next door.

“Where’s next door?” you might ask. I moved to New York City in 2006. Prior to that, I was living in Hampton Roads, VA while serving in the military. I was in the U.S. Navy for 9 1/2 years before I was honorably discharged. Upon separation, I stuck around Hampton Roads for three years while working for Booz Allen Hamilton. Finally, during the Christmas season of 2005, I made my first visit to New York City; by February 2006, I had a new job and was living in the big city.

I’ve actually been writing in this blog since 2005. As you read through the entries, you’ll notice it’s a hodgepodge of different things: A few parts technology, some parts entertainment, and a dash personal journaling. As such, my blog should reach many audiences. The majority of my visitors to date are just friends or acquaintances that I left behind in Virginia. I feel that this is the easiest (or laziest way) to keep them all up-to-date on what I’m doing. Recently, my blog has been getting around a lot just by word of mouth. I received many compliments on my entries, even though they don’t really pertain to anything at all. But, I figured I’d make a go of it and see if this puppy can start bringing in any cash. And there you have it, the fruition of my blog – in a nutshell.
